Respond profitably
to your supply chain partners with the help of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Plan and reorganize production to meet
new and changing market demands, manage your inventory and warehouses
according to unique requirements, and improve the efficiency of
business relationships with personalized portals and automated business
transactions.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV also manages a broad range of other business areas
according to your particular needs. You can add functionality as you need
it and grow at your own pace. The breadth of supply chain modules and
the flexibility of the system allow the solution to be configured
to your unique requirements. Some of the functional areas include:
- Distribution – Microsoft Dynamics NAV offers a suite of standard distribution modules with functionality for multi-location inventory, requisitions, purchasing, and sales order. Multiple costing methods are available including specific costing by serial number. Bill of Materials, lot numbers, stock keeping units, and items variants are just some of the specialized features available.
- Advanced Distribution – A suite of functionality for receiving, shipping, vendor quote management, and warehouse optimization is available for organizations with specialized or distribution requirements.
- Job Cost – A Job Cost module is available for tracking inventory, services, and third party purchases for any Microsoft Dynamics NAV job. Time-phased budgets can be set up for all of these costs and reconciled, as necessary. This system is highly modifiable and has been used for a number of clients who do not desire MRP or job floor scheduling.
- Job Shop – A third party module is available for companies wanting more configuration capability than the standard job cost system but who do not want the complexity of an MRP system.
- Project Costing –Another third party module is available with significantly enhanced project costing capabilities for customers with more sophisticated project management requirements, i.e. construction.
- Manufacturing – Microsoft Dynamics NAV does offer a manufacturing system with job floor scheduling and MRP. The system is most suitable for make-to-order or make-to-stock. This module has been modified by a number of resellers to fit very specific variations of manufacturing.
- Available-to-order and Capable-to-order – The system will calculate either available-to-order or capable-to-order with or without the manufacturing module. This module is part of an inventory planning capability now available within Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
